Recipes Galore's buttons provide easy access to the Recipe File, Food Guide, Menu Planner, and other features. Add to or edit the more than 300 preloaded recipes, though dishes seem as old fashioned as the pull-down menus and text fields that display them. Unfortunately, unlike similar applications, nutritional information isn't included for food items, a drawback for diet-conscious users. The Food Guide provides serving recommendations and healthy substitutes, but the suggested menu ideas seem drawn from a school cafeteria, nutritious but unexciting. A calendar and drop-down menus make the Menu Planner as easy to use as the Shopping List Maker, which offers a Quick List and Recipe Select to add ingredients for a dish. Import and export is limited to one format. There's a 15-use trial limit. Although easy to use, most will want a more up-to-date cooking program.
