Rod-Plan's basic interface uses extensive pull-down menus, and information is presented in a clear tree-view manner. At first glance the program looks simple, but you'll quickly realize an auto restoration pro had a hand in designing it. You can quickly add and save your car's make, model, year, pricing, parts, and other components to be restored or replaced. Rod-Plan lets you add photographs of stripped parts and generates reports such as material lists, project plans, and status reports, and you can maintain a supplier contact list, though you can't add quick links to their sites. The program is preset with a detailed sample project to familiarize you with its numerous fields. Rod-Plan's trial version limits the user to an eight-day/24-use evaluation. Experienced auto restorers will find Rod-Plan beneficial for managing projects.
