Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffOctober 7, 2004This basic tutorial doesn't sing or dance, but it does reliably and efficiently drill you on algebra problems. MathAid Algebra II comes with a very illustrative interface, which, given its ease of use, has you wrangling x's and y's in no time. To start, choose an algebra subject and "roll" the dice (click the icon with the picture of a die) to generate a problem. Once you've figured it out, enter your answer and check it against the answer given. If desired, you can set a time limit for solving problems. During testing the program ran smoothly without any hitches (despite the many problems we got wrong...). For the cheats among us, we would have liked to see a built-in calculator. There's no limit to the time you can use the program, yet the number of problems you can drill is limited. One odd and annoying problem we discovered is that MathAid Algebra II doesn't include an uninstaller. To remove the program, delete the program folder and desktop icons manually. Overall, this is a good, reliable program for math tutorials.
