You can now safely backup all of your device drivers in a couple of clicks. DriverBackup will run a complete scan for everything it can find: sound, video, network, wireless, printers, etc. Then it will create a restore point. You can backup manually or set a schedule for when you want it to run automatically. One thing we do recommend to do is to turn off auto-backup on Windows start. We didn't find the option to create a backup every time you boot up your computer that useful. Nobody should be updating their drivers on a daily basis. It does a more thorough job than most other driver backup programs out there by saving every set of drivers it finds, even when you might just be interested in a particular set such as sound.Restoration itself is a hassle free process. Choose the point you wish to restore and let the software do the rest. If you do multiple backups, be careful in your selection as RD'12 method of time-stamping is not the best method for easy record keeping. We were also able to restore some difficult Nvidia Video drivers, which are not the most user-friendly drivers out there. The application will also notify you if it finds any driver updates. However, this will require you upgrade to RadarSync's PC Updater. Even though the software does not make any claim about updates, we felt it would have been nice to include this feature as DriverBackup 2012 is a paid product. If you're just looking for a mess-free solution to backing up drivers or even a little insurance against Murphy's Law when updating, RadarSync DriverBackup 2012 might be what you're looking for.
