Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffJuly 20, 2014Right Backup is a cloud-based program designed to let you back up all of your files and then restore from that backup whenever you need. Once you've set up your account, the program will automatically begin the process of analyzing your computer to find files that aren't backed up before walking you through the process of securing them. ProsAutomatic functions: From the very beginning, this app automates certain processes to make it easier for you to back up the items you need to quickly. For instance, rather than waiting for you to add or select the files you want to back up, the app scans your computer to find anything that isn't backed up and presents it to you so you won't have to worry about forgetting something important. You can also set up automatic backups and specify when you want them to run, so you can be sure your files are secure without having to actively do anything about it.Manage multiple devices: You can back up files from multiple devices to the same Right Backup account just by logging in from any of those devices. This makes it easier to keep track of your files and also to share them efficiently.ConsNo help: There is no Help file to go along with this program. While the interface is intuitive enough, it would be nice to have some kind of reference to fall back on if you run into trouble.Wireless limitations: Because backups occur wirelessly, they can take some time, especially if you have a lot of data to back up. And depending on the type of Internet service you have, you may have trouble completing other tasks while backups are running.Bottom LineRight Backup is a handy and intuitive program that lets you relax knowing that your important files are backed up securely. Its automatic features make it a convenient option, especially if you don't want to have to remember to manually run backups on your own, and the ability to back up all of your devices through one account is an extra bonus. You can try out the service for 30 days with a backup limit of 1GB of data, and you can subscribe for a cost of $14.95 for one month or $99.97 per year.Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of Right Backup 2.1.1000.4398.
